Vineyard benelux

Vineyard BeNeLux is part of the worldwide Vineyard movement, with almost 2500 churches. Our common international mission is: “We, the existing Vineyard worldwide, are committed to the multiplication of Kingdom of God minded, Christ-centered communities of local churches and Vineyard movements in all the nations of the world.” The Vineyard is a church planting movement. It is our desire to plant a Vineyard in every major city in the BeNeLux and see the Kingdom of God advance. Vineyard BeNeLux represents these nations: België, Nederland en Luxemburg. At this time the BeNeLux family consists of about ten churches or initiatives in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg. We are also involved in ‘Missions’ in the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania).

Menno & Marian Helmus

Since October 2016 Marian & Menno Helmus are the Nationale leaders of Vineyard Benelux. They succeeded Jan Bernard & Tineke Struik who served the Vineyard familie in the Benelux as pioneers for many years.

Vineyard-DNA

Het Vineyard-DNA geeft de karakteristieken weer die vanaf het begin in het zaad van de Vineyard aanwezig zijn geweest. Het beschrijft waar elke Vineyard voor staat, wat zij doet en waaraan haar bediening nu en straks in moet passen. Wij verwachten niet dat elke Vineyard alle tien punten volledig uit heeft ontwikkeld, maar we verwachten dat alle punten op een of andere manier in een herkenbare vorm gestalte krijgen.

1. The Bible | Word of God

The Bible, written by men and inspired by God, is in it’s entirity central to our faith, our lives and our teaching. We desire to hear Gods Word, obey it and teach it in a practical and inspiring manner. We desire to be do-ers of the Word, that are continually changed by the Word into Christ’s likeness.

2. Wordhip

Worship is our highest priority, since we exist to worship God. In everything we do we find a way to worship and honor our King. We also desire to meet with God through our songs and our music. As we express our love for Him in this way, we are connected to our God at a deeper level. We seek to find words to expres His magnificent greatness and majesty and desire to experience His presence as we do this. Encounters with God in this manner of worshipping are life changing and life-giving.

3. Small Groups

Small groups are the basic structure of our churches. They are home, a safe place of acceptance where friendships develop and where we grow and learn to be Jesus’ disciples. Also they provide a safe environment for discerning, developing and practicing spiritual gifts.

4. Spiritual gifts

Every believer receives spiritual gifts from the Father. We seek to identify, encourage and practice these for the benefit of everyone. We are gift-, rather than task-oriented.

5. Training

Training is very important in order ‘to equip the saints’. We believe every Christian needs training in order to learn to do ‘the works of Jesus’, preferably with the help of more experienced folks who model the practice. We aim at providing training in all aspects of the Christian live and ministry so we learn to live responsibly.

6. Signs and wonders

Signs and wonders are a normal part of church live. We practice the ministry of healing for sickness and brokenness, the ministry of deliverance for the demonized and seek to do the supernatural works of God.

7. Serving the poor

Serving the poor. We believe Gods heart goes pout to those who are weak, helpless, oppressed and needy, and that He commissions His church to care for these. We are called to feed, cloth, help and serve with compassion.

8. Evangelism

Evangelism is a privilege given to every believer; bring others to Jesus in our friendships, through power evangelism and many other ways. Real church growth is reaching the world with the good news of Jesus and help inaugurate His Kingdom.

9. Other churches | Practising christian unity and serving other parts of the body of Christ

Practising christian unity and serving other parts of the body of Christ. We are convinced that all who belong to Christ are of one body, His Church. We love the whole church and seek to build and maintain good relationships with other churches. We seek to perserve unity in His Body by honoring all who call upon Jesus and we seek reconciliation with every part of the Church. It is our wish to serve the Body of Christ around us through renewal, equipping and in any other helpful way.

10. Missions and church planting

Missions and church planting. We believe that planting local churches is the best way to expand the Kingdom of God. That is why church planting is at the heart of our Vineyard-calling. Every church is supposed to grow and multiply, nationally and internationally.
